Who we are

YAY Real Estate is the trading name of Yay Trading Pty Ltd (ABN 86 617 735 323), a licensed NSW real estate corporation (Corporation Licence 10094864).

Information we collect

We may collect personal information you provide when making an enquiry, requesting a rental appraisal, sharing customer, service or website feedback, subscribing to our newsletter, applying for or enquiring about a property, or communicating with us. This may include your name, email address, other contact details, optional property address, enquiry or feedback details and other information reasonably required to respond or provide real estate services.

How we collect and use information

We collect information directly from you through website forms, email, telephone and our dealings with you. We use it to respond to enquiries and feedback, review and improve our services and website, provide property management, leasing or sales services, send requested property updates, manage subscriptions, maintain business records and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

Connected social media accounts and publishing

YAY Real Estate uses an internal, access-controlled publishing service to connect and manage its own business accounts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok. When an authorised representative connects an account, we may receive and securely store the permissions granted, access and refresh tokens, platform user or account identifiers, page, organisation, channel or creator details, and token expiry information.

We use this information only to verify the intended YAY Real Estate account, maintain the authorised connection, retrieve the account capabilities and publishing options required by the relevant platform, publish content approved by YAY Real Estate, and confirm or reconcile publication status. Operational records may include a request identifier, publication status, platform post identifier, public post URL and limited error information. Credentials and tokens are not placed in public content or ordinary activity reports.

The service is not designed to collect followers’ private messages, contact lists, passwords, advertising profiles or unrelated account content. It does not sell connected-account data or use platform data to create advertising profiles or train general-purpose artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

Google and YouTube API data

For the authorised YAY Real Estate YouTube channel, we use Google OAuth and the YouTube Data API to verify the channel identity and granted permissions, refresh the authorised connection, retrieve limited channel information, and upload approved videos when publishing is expressly enabled. We do not use information received from Google APIs for advertising, sell it, or disclose it except as necessary to provide the requested integration, comply with law, protect security, or with the account holder’s direction and consent.

YAY Real Estate’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy ↗, including the Limited Use requirements.

Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok platform data

For Facebook and Instagram, we use Meta’s APIs to verify and publish to the configured YAY Real Estate Page and professional account. For LinkedIn, we use LinkedIn’s APIs to verify and publish to the configured YAY Real Estate organisation. For TikTok, we use Login Kit and the Content Posting API to verify the authorised creator account, available privacy options and publishing capability, and to submit approved content when publishing is enabled. Each connection is also subject to the relevant platform’s own privacy terms and account controls.

Disconnecting accounts and deleting connected-platform data

An authorised account holder may disconnect the integration through the relevant platform’s account settings or contact hello@yayrealestate.com.au. On a verified request, we will revoke or remove locally held tokens and connected-account identifiers that are no longer required, subject to reasonable security, backup, legal and record-keeping requirements. Disconnecting does not automatically remove content already published on a platform; that content may be removed using the platform’s own controls or by contacting us.

Newsletter and marketing communications

If you enter your email address in our newsletter form and select Subscribe, or select the optional newsletter checkbox when submitting an enquiry or rental appraisal request, you consent to receive YAY Real Estate’s weekly property updates and occasional offers. Newsletter consent is voluntary and is not required to submit an enquiry or appraisal request. Each newsletter identifies YAY Real Estate as the sender and includes our contact details and an unsubscribe link. You can withdraw your consent at any time using that link, without logging in or providing additional information.

Website analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use our website and to measure successful contact-enquiry and rental-appraisal submissions. Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies and may collect information such as device and browser details, general location, pages viewed and website interactions.

Our Google Analytics property is linked with our Google Ads account. Google Ads may receive selected Analytics events, including successful contact-enquiry and rental-appraisal submissions, for conversion measurement, audience reporting and, where enabled, personalised advertising.

Our enquiry and feedback tracking is configured so that names, email addresses, phone numbers, property addresses and message contents are not intentionally sent to Google Analytics or Google Ads as event details. Feedback measurement is limited to non-identifying details such as feedback type, locale and form step. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services ↗.

You can restrict or delete cookies through your browser settings, manage personalised advertising in Google My Ad Center ↗, or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on ↗. Restricting analytics or advertising cookies may reduce our ability to measure website use but should not prevent access to the website’s basic content.

Website security and spam prevention

We use automated security measures provided by our website hosting provider, Vercel, to distinguish genuine form submissions from automated abuse. These measures may process technical information such as browser, device, network and request signals. We also use hidden anti-spam fields and submission-timing checks. The contents of your enquiry are not intentionally used for advertising through these security checks.

Service providers and disclosure

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to service providers that support our website, email delivery and newsletter subscriptions, property management systems, connected social media services and professional operations, and to regulators or other parties where required or authorised by law. We use Resend to manage newsletter contacts, delivery and unsubscribe requests, Vercel to host the website, and the APIs and infrastructure of Meta, LinkedIn, Google/YouTube and TikTok for the connected-platform functions described above. Some providers may process or store information outside Australia using their international infrastructure.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Access and correction

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity and may decline a request where permitted by law.
